31 weeks and BUSY!

Baby Low has had a fun filled few weeks! She has made it to 2 weddings, a concert, and her first bachelorette party!

 I'm pretty sure she will be a country girl- she loved dancing to Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean (although her mommy paid for it later with swollen feet and sore legs!)

She also had her first ride on a a party bus- "Paradise Party Bus" 

My 1st Mother's Day

Yesterday I was able to celebrate my very first Mother's Day! Mike made the day extra special for me. He took me to a wonderful brunch at J. Christopher's (where I insisted on waiting 45 minutes for a table instead of sitting at open seats at the bar... bless him), gave me the sweetest card, and these GORGEOUS flowers! It was a great day!

Celebrating this day for the first time really made me reflect on the enormous job God has blessed and entrusted me with- the job of being a mom. What a massive responsibility! I am responsible for her safety, her physical health, her emotional and spiritual growth, feeding her, clothing her, making her feel safe and loved, helping her reach her goals and accomplish her dreams.... the list goes on and on!

I have HUGE shoes to fill! I was blessed with the most amazing great grandmothers, grandmothers, and mother. Never once did I doubt their unconditional love and total support. I have been given the model for strong, loving, compassionate mothers. I hope I can be the kind of mother they were.

My prayer is that God will help me, guide me, lead me... to be the mom He wants me to be. My prayer for my daughter is that she will know how much God loves her and how much her family loves her...always. I pray that she will do GREAT things..."immeasurably more" than she can even imagine.

I can't wait until next Mother's Day, when I will be able to celebrate with her in my arms!

30 weeks- 1st Baby Shower!

 The WONDERFUL moms in my classroom through and adorable baby shower for me yesterday!

 They made a diaper cake, had wonderful food, and the cutest games for the kids!

 How big around do you think Mrs. Low's belly is? The guessed with tearing off sections of toilet paper. Hey, don't you think that is a little LONG??? :)

 "Diaper Game" Each diaper had a different type of melted chocolate candy inside. The kids had to take a big whiff and guess what kind. This was HILARIOUS!

 They spoiled Baby Low with the most generous, precious gifts!

29 weeks- new photos

I had a great appointment this week! The doctor says Baby Low is healthy, and doing great!! She is weighing in at a little over 2 pounds now. During the ultrasound, I got to see her blinking her eyes an sucking on her bottom lip! She is precious, perfect, and I love her so much!!!

Here is her little foot! I love this picture! This is what she uses to kick me every night! The doctor said her head is down, her bottom is near my belly button, and her feet are over near my left ribs. She is in an upside down L shaped position.

Still no news on the name front. Mike and I look and talk about it pretty much every night! It is so hard to pick!! 11 weeks left to decide!!



28 weeks

I had a great weekend~ I got to see my wonderful friend from college Anna, who is also expecting! (She is having a boy in 4 weeks- can we say "arranged marriage"??)
Nesting?? Mike and I did some planting at our house this weekend.... I don't know how Dad does it all the time! This is HARD work!! But we had fun, and the yard looks great!

28 Weeks!!

Well, I am officially in the home stretch (kind of)! This week begins my 3rd and final trimester. It is hard to imagine that in just around 12 weeks, I will be holding Baby Girl Low in my arms!! She is around 2 1/4 pounds now and about 14-15 inches long! She is the size of a "Chinese cabbage". I wasn't sure what that was, so I found a picture.

I am feeling pretty good! My dearest Chrissie was a life-saver this weekend by giving my a pregnancy pillow, which really seems to help me get comfortable in the bed at night. I am really enjoying increasing fetal movement! It is the neatest thing!!

 The name search is still underway. Mike and I keep debating, finding new names, and narrowing down original ideas. We WILL have a name for this baby girl, I promise! :)

27 weeks

Mike and I out to dinner with friends at 27 weeks- last week of the 2nd trimester!!
